The new Samsung Chromebook 2 is coming out soon.

 

8 core exynos processor and full HD screen with 8.5 hours of battery life. not a bad deal for 400 bucks

Seems like an awful lot of money to spend on a chromebook. I picked up an Acer C710 a few weeks back. Swapped in a 128GB SSD and bumped the ram up to 4GB and still spent less than $300 all said and done. The thing flies and is powerful enough to do what I need it to (run a ton of tabs at once and even AutoCAD 360 without breaking a sweat). 

 

To me, a big part of the purpose of a chromebook is to be inexpensive.

400 bucks is still a little too higher for my preferences. Options such as tablets become much more appealing.
