Don't do that, you should never SLI two different cards, Idk what happens but there would be some issues and BSODs.

He's not trying to run them in SLI....

@OP Yes it will work, but how many displays do you plan to have exactly? You can run 3+1 off of that 1 card.

Well, Idk. I wouldn't use an "old card" to power a monitor. I don't think you could run 3 8K monitors on a 780  :P, but 1080p for sure.

Well all I can say is my father runs 2 4k display off of a 680 :D Not sure about 8k though... Don't think we have the bandwidth for that (maybe at like 15fps lol)

Well a 680 isn't old, imo it isn't, it might help if we know what this "old card" is.

8K surround sound ftw.

Im not sli'ing i have a like 6870 sapphire card lying around. The 780 gtx will only push the 4k monitor and 2 other 1080ps cause when i try to plug a 4th into the 780 gtx it goes crazy. The 4k is read as 2 displays until nivida does somthing to change this. I just wanted another monitor to plug in to use for another display to hold some random applications or browsers.
