On1Y5an3

Hello dear Linustechtips forum-users :)
I allredy have a logg for my computer as it is now, a coolermaster HAF XM with some mods. Now it's time to change chassi to a smaller one whitout throwing to much out of it. So I have decided to buy this Silverstone Sugo SG09, populate it with my old rig WITH some changes, my old rig is this:
Chassi: Coolermaster HAF XM-modded.

Motherboard: MSI Z77-G45 ATX

GPU: Geforce GTX 660 SLI (2x) (Asus Direct CUII)

CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K

RAM: 8Gb 1600Mhz (Corsair CL9 VENGEANCE)

PSU: 600W Gameing series (Corsair)

Drives: 1 HDD 500Gb, 3 SSD, 60, 120, 280Gb (Seagate, Corsair, Samsung, Samsung)

Fans: 5x Silverstone air penetrator 120 mm, 2x Silverstone air penetrator 140 mm, 2x Noctua NF-f12 (120 mm), 3x Noctua NF-A4x10 FLX (40mm)

So what I now have bought is:
Chassi: Silverstone Sugo sg09

Motherboard: Asus P8Z77 m PRO (M-atx)

PSU: Corsair RM650 650Watt-modular ATX

Fans: 2x Noctua NF-A9x14 PWN (92 mm)

I have now orded it so soon, in this week there will be more posts :)

So, finally I have completed the build, it took a while but it was fun :)

post-17011-0-09233900-1397741809_thumb.j

So here is my old computer (right) and my new case (left) and a random neighbour from the corridor :) Now follows 3 pictures from my old computer, I really liked it, it was a Coolermasster HAF XM wich i modded alot, a very modding-friendly case :)

post-17011-0-49039400-1397741845_thumb.jpost-17011-0-74713200-1397741855_thumb.jpost-17011-0-45565500-1397741866_thumb.j

Now, I alredy inserted the motherboard, to do this the cage for my PSU had to be removed because to insert the motherboard you need to slightly tilt it in from the right... if you understand :) I have also installed 2 new fans, one at the back (left) a silverstone airpenetrator with blue UV effect and with a grid. This fan is one of 5 from my old case ;) Down right you see a Noctua 80 mm fan who is an exhaust (as the first silverstone also is). Also here I have installed a grid (fear of cabels in the way)

Here at the 180mm fan they have made a balcony for cabels. I was pretty happy with my 8-pin routeing. And by the way, I use full ATX length cabels.

Here I have removed my three SSD:s from my old rig, the red one is an Corsair 120 gig, silver one is a Samsung 240 gig and last the black one who is a samsung 120 gig.

Before CPU-cooler installed: post-17011-0-62397500-1397741943_thumb.j

After CPU-cooler installed: post-17011-0-79025500-1397741957_thumb.j

And with the Noctua fans: post-17011-0-13098500-1397742742_thumb.j

To make my case-fans a bit quieter I wanted to install the rubber-fittings from my old case-fans:post-17011-0-89169400-1397742752_thumb.j

to my new fan: post-17011-0-11156000-1397742850_thumb.j

Also my noctua-fan down right wanted rubber-fittings but I did not manage to get it in all four holes. post-17011-0-62057600-1397742859_thumb.j

Time to install my 3 three SSD:s. They are layd stomach to stomach for the cabels to fit better:

post-17011-0-60290000-1397742871_thumb.j

As I assembeld the SSD:s I needed to pass thru my front-panel-cabels for a betterlooking cabelmanagement:

post-17011-0-04313100-1397742883_thumb.j

As I 'only' have 3 SSD:s I could manage my cabels behind the third SSD for better looking and smoother solution:

Now the cabelmanagement looks worse than before, and I havent jet installed my PSU... :/

Testfitting with my GPU:

post-17011-0-40533300-1397743384_thumb.j

Alos installed my HDD on the bracet behind the motherboard. The 180mm fan on top actually has a path where the air is moved over the HDD and down on the SSD:s, dont thing that you can see it in the picture, but you might notice that the fan isnt centered over the CPU area.

Time for PSU. First picture: installed on it's bracket. Next two pictures shows how tight it gets... :)

And of course the front: post-17011-0-48330800-1397743427_thumb.j

Here I have installed my other GPU and more cables. Really think that my noctua-exhaust fan down right is needed for a good air pressure.post-17011-0-14125200-1397743645_thumb.j

From above, my 24-pin cabel and the power-cabel for my PSU, as well as my glorious 180mm fan.post-17011-0-33652500-1397743658_thumb.j

The backside with all cabels: post-17011-0-42799100-1397743671_thumb.j

Just realised that my HDD had no power... A nice new cabel had to be inserted: post-17011-0-68764200-1397744209_thumb.j

And so the last part: The little side-panel with alot of intake for my GPU:s. Here I will attach a Silverstone 120mm airpenetrator, same as before, and 2 Noctua 92mm (Here slim but have changed to 'ordinary fat' fans cause these were making too much noise):

post-17011-0-31452500-1397744220_thumb.jpost-17011-0-26006600-1397744229_thumb.j

Aaaaand cabel management: post-17011-0-56483800-1397744320_thumb.jpost-17011-0-03185800-1397744240_thumb.jpost-17011-0-76461200-1397744253_thumb.jpost-17011-0-36165800-1397744266_thumb.jpost-17011-0-55962500-1397744274_thumb.j

I had to take out my GPU:s to get to the fan-header (Cabel with white head at the right.post-17011-0-40652200-1397744287_thumb.j

Testing:

post-17011-0-45854300-1397744300_thumb.jpost-17011-0-88276800-1397744349_thumb.jpost-17011-0-49926300-1397744337_thumb.jpost-17011-0-04842900-1397744361_thumb.j

And it worked from first breath :)

I hope that this have been fun to watch and read. I recommend a Sugo Sg09 and if you want to ask, I think that with some modding you can install watercooling if you have the monney for it :) Over and out! / Onlysane

feels so cramped.  I don't think I would have the patience to work in such a confined space!  but good job for making it all fit.
