Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Linux desktop host, with multiple VMs

Other details

Not a gamer.

Although no set budget, I'm not going crazy, and no interest in overclocking, just nice, new, fast, and stable.  (to replace my existing 2nd gen i7 with 16gb ram).

So far I'm planning a Core i9 10900 (no K), and even for the more cores, I'm not interested in AMD.

ASUS Intel B460 ROG STRIX B460-G GAMING Micro-ATX - Would I really get any benefit from the Z range?

64GB of ram (for the VMs) - Corsair Vengeance LPX 64GB (4x16GB) DDR4 DRAM 2666MHz C16 - or probably the 2 x 32GB so I can double up to the 128 limit later.

Boot drive will be a Samsung 970 EVO V-NAND M.2 500GB SSD - with a few existing SSDs for additional storage.

Case: Fractal Design Define Mini C Tower

I'll be using the onboard gpu and hdmi/dp for 2 x 2560x1440 monitors, it's a linux desktop, with some minimal 3d effects, which hopefully isn't going to need a gfx card, but if need be, I can add that later.

Not sure if the "Noctua NH-D14 Dual Radiator and Fan Quiet CPU Cooler" is suitable for the 1200 sockets?

All that's left is the power supply...

Thanks, any suggestions on the gpu?  as I say, just running 2x 2560x1440 with some "basic" 3d effects.

Would I be right in thinking even the cheapest (ie Sapphire AMD Radeon RX 550 PULSE OC 2GB GDDR5) would be more than enough?  Or is there another min spec I should be looking for?  PCI version, memory, memory speed, etc?

What about the rest of the setup, does it all make sense?  anything else to worry about?
