USB-C Display?

I want a monitor for my laptop because the screen is terrible but it only has usbc 3.1 ports. (HP chromebook 14 G5). Can I get a usbc to HDMI/DP adaptor/cable that does usb3.1 not thunderbolt? Could someone recommend one to me (UK prices)?

only if the USB-C have display passthrough stated in the specs, or else it wont work afaik

i checked the spec sheet, didnt say anything about it

you might have to ask HP about it

No, only 2 type A and 2 type C

NotebookCheck say there's DP passthrough and HDMI passthrough. Their indepth review should help confirm.

then the most accurate way is to email HP, though
