Limiting internet speed?

Hello,

We are in the process of buying a new house, but the internet connection there is maximum of 30mbps(country side rural area), now I know that for me, its very low, but I need to show my wife that she does not want to live with this connection either. To prove my point, I would like to be able to set up a limit temporarily on my OS to demonstrate how fast 30mpbs actually is(not).

I have tried looking through registry of windows 10, but could not find anything in there and the only thing that I can limit is the speed of the windows updates. I am currently on fibre optics with 500mbps connection, so you can imagine the horror for me if we buy house going from 500mbps to 30mbps connection. Instead of downloading nearly 60mbps I will be downloading 4mpbs if lucky:/

if you cant find a solution on windows,
some 4g networks will run around 30mbps could set up a hotspot,

also depending on what hardware you have some motherboard manufactures also have bandwidth limiting software as part of there ehternet package suite
