Booting issues

Go to solution Solved by narrdarr,

To clear cmos

Power down and unplug the system.

Remove battery

Hold the power button on the system for about 30 sec.

Put battery back in

Turn on

No you won't lose anything. It just reset bios to optimized default settings.

Try to enter bios

So I've been having this issue for couple of weeks. It started happening out of no where and after some time it stopped just to appear afterwards. Basically the PC starts turning on, fans spin, LEDs turn on just so it turns off and try to turn on again into an endlese cycle. Last time it absolutely destroyed Windows boot files and made me format everything just so I can turn it on. Sometimes American Megatrends shows up, says system posted in safe mode F1 for uefi settings or chassis intrusion.

No, should I try to do it? Problem is I've never removed it before and idk if I can damage something.

Just search up. Removing Cmos battery. There will most likely be a guide. And just reseat it again after you removed it. Not sure if this will help it tho. Could also be a RAM problem

When I remove the battery, do i hold the power button without plugging the PC into power? I'm asking cuz to do that I have to unplug the graphics card and I'm guessing that it maybe has to be powered to do something. Have no idea

Correct hold the power button with the battery out and the system unplugged

Some builds the gpu is in the way and needs to be removed before you have access to remove the battery. The gpu can be put back in afterwards

I did all that, and now I get a black screen. No DP or HDMI signal.
