CPU for Master Cam : single thread speed or core count ?

So a friend of mine asked me to help him build a computer for mastercam.  I was wondering if mastercam would take benefit from more core or from faster core.

Probably in the end it doesn't really matter as he won't make money out of it (at least for now, I don't know what his long term plans are) but I was still curious.  I was considering something like let's say an i5 10600k or a ryzen 5 3600, 32gb of ram and an adequate gpu.  I also don't know if mastercam use the gpu for computing or if it's just for basic visual output.

I would really like your input on that.
