What sound card do I have?+-

OneManCruel

Hello guys, I've been trying to find out what kind of sound card I've got for the last couple of minutes, downloaded 2 different programs that scans your computer components and all I've found in the audio category was:

NVIDIA High Definition Audio
NVIDIA High Definition Audio
VIA High Definition Audio
NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM)
Sennheiser 3D G4ME1

I can't find anywhere that Nvidia has made any audio cards so I guess I'm missing something...

Thanks!

The GPU outputs audio through HDMI, as most do.

You have an audio chipset from VIA.

Nvidia HD audio is the audio outputed from the HDMI in your GPU so don't worry about it. But VIA I think is a competitor to Realtek for onboard audio so I imagine it is your motherboard sound.

was the comic sans necessary?

all Nvidia's chips do are send the digital audio signal to a receiver to be converted to analog.
