Hey guys,

I was looking at different layouts of MOBAs (because I'm looking for lower dimm slots, to fit top mounting AIO into my iCUE 220t) and want to know the dimensions of the spacings for the RAM.

My current GA-AX370-Gaming K5 (rev. 1.x) - Gigabyte paired with the Corsair Vengeance PRO RGB does not clear my AIO and I'm running it with single fan RN (i7-7700). But want to make sure when I upgrade to the Ryzen 400 series I can use both the fans).

My question is are the positions of the ram slots standardized?

  • Are they always the same distance away from the top of the board? From my eagle eye analysis it looks like they are dependant on each model.

For clarity of my question I'm attaching an image for reference.

Any idea where I could get these dimensions? (I have downloaded a bunch of user manuals but they never list those numbers).

Well the 4 dimms are usually on the right side  of the board (on consumer platforms, like x570, HEDT/TR boards have slots on both sides), as for the top, then no that can be different from one board to another.

you can just look at the board's page, why do you need to know though?

My current RAM (Corsair Vengeance PRO RGB) is too high on my current MOBA (GA-AX370-Gaming K5) and I can't mount the AIO on the top side of the case because of it (about 8mm too tall right now). As I'm upgrading to ryzen 4000 most likely I'd like to prevent having to buy a new case with the new MOBA.

Can't front mount the AIO, because my current GTX 1080OC is too long.

Just trying to solve this without swapping cases.
