Laravel Webpack Mix Breaking JS Function

I have a JS file with some functions I made. Whenever I include the script on the html file normally, the functions work fine. However, when I include the script in laravel webpck mix, by modifiying webpack.mix.js, the script breaks and I can't use any of my JS functions. If anyone has had a similar issue and knows of a solution please let me know. Thanks in advance.
