Corsair HS50 makes weird high pitched noises for no reason

Neymus

My headset has been doing very silent high pitched noises for about an hour now, it almost sounds like an alarm or something but it cuts out very often, I don't know how to describe it but it sounds like laser beams or something? It's really weird, it does that whether it's plugged in into my PC or my phone so I don't think it's a software or something. I had this headset for about 8-9 months now and it worked just fine, I couldn't find anyone having the exact same problem as me so I don't know what's going on.

It is a cheap gaming headset. What did you expect? I don't know the cause but I do know that some gaming headsets can do this.

Okay. Sorry not helping at all. One thing I can help you with is actually recommending a pair of good headphones with a good mic.

If you want a closed back headphone, the audio technica m40x I've heard are good. I've listened to the m50x's and imo they sounded kinda dull. But pair that with a modmic 4 uni and you have a great "gaming" headset.

Also please avoid the gaming side of the market for headphones. They really just focus on the wrong part of the headphones. The mic is terrible on most gaming headsets I've used. The RGB is just pointless. The implementation of software and the USB part of the headphone is terrible most of the time. Just buy good 3.5mm headphones with a seperate good mic that goes with them.
