Need a windows (well, not a mac) laptop that can handle multitasking, good keyboard, battery life, lightweight (thus 13/14"). Looking for recommendations. I am currently running an XPS 13 9360, but it isn't able to keep up with multitasking I am doing for remote work (maxed out cpu and ram, i7-7th gen, 8gb). No real hard compilation of code is done on my machine (which is why I prefer a smaller, more portable machine), but I prefer to do my research on my local machine.

@TylerDurden! Yeah the ram is soldered sadly :( Cpu is maxed out as well though. Mostly it's chrome/s3 browser/remote desktop/ms office/visual studio code, which is handled fine on my desktop but is too much for my laptop (desktop in another city rn..)

laptop

I would just find a nice off lease T-series Thinkpad.  The last one I bought even had a warranty still left on it, I got a new ssd and a new power supply out of it and an in-house tech visit for free (I kept loosing time for some reason, ended up just replacing the MB).  The tech was actually the one who submitted the paperwork for the new ssd too.
