What is your use case?
What are you other specs?
Why dont you give us any information regarding your overall setup? :'D

Wheter you need 500W, or 600W or even 700W.. or maybe only 400W depends on your system.
And, afaik, you shouldnt go Bronze at all.. go at least Gold.

What is your system? Those are both recommended for low mid to low end systems. Of those two, the core bbs is the better one.

I am far from an expert in this so please correct me if I’m wrong.

550-600W is enough then, aight.
But as i said before, i dont like bronze PSUs.. i'd recommend going for at least gold certification. And full modular is also mostly the better choice, if you want to have at least a bit of cablemanagement in your system.
Maybe check out the PSU Tier list, if you havent.

Yep, both the same tier. But the chieftec one is colored gold meaning it is one of the best in that tier.

Certification is not something to look at when choosing a psu, especially not at this price range. Efficiency certification has nothing to do with quality and at this wattage, the extra efficiency won’t be saving much money even if used for a decade or longer.

You won’t draw anywhere near 500w, what’s your budget for the psu?

really? Guess i've learned something today as well. I always thought that the certification isn't only about the efficiency, but also about constant power draining. Like, if you have a bronze one, the power the psu delievers into your system is less constant and varies more than with a gold or platinum psu which can cause damage to your system.
At least thats what i got told some time ago and believed it... :'D

Take a look at the Corsair cx. One of the best in the b tier (mid range systems) on the tier list. There are many others there but this one was the first I saw in your budget.
