I have upgraded the crap out of a prebuilt Hp Power Pavilion.

Current Specs:

Thermaltake 700w Smart PSU

Gigabyte Radeon Rx580

2x1tb 7200rpm WD Blue HDD

1x1tb Samsung 970 Evo V-Nand m.2 Ssd

Ryzen 7 1700, stock cooler(cooler to be upgraded)

stock case fan(soon to be upgraded

2x8gb Ddr4 Ram

The case is hp and awkwardly inverted so the mobo is on the left side when it stands up, it fits with my setup so i will be soon ordering a DarkFlash case that makes the io on the top of the system. i will also be buying a B350M steel legend mobo eventually :)

Any comments?

why not get a B450 board to have the chance to upgrade to 4th gen Ryzen in the future?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

what was your budget for the upgrade and the specs before? Doesnt make sense (for a budget upgrade) as you seem to have spent $100+ on the ssd alone..

i did not really stick to a budget i have just added parts over time, before it had just 1 8 gig stick of ram, same cpu, some weird rx550 which the fan died on, only 1 hdd, and a 300w power supply i have spent little over 300$ total. the original pc was 600.
