X62 pump/cpu block orientation

Just installed a 2nd set of 2x8gb Corsair Vengeance Pro memory, and now my X62 cpu cooler won't fit anynmore, the ram pushes against the tubes when mounting the cpu cooler. I have not installed it upright, so the tubes coming out on top of the cpu cooler and logo 45° rotated. Looks like shit, but also wonder if this is harmful. Got two options: get a new cooler, or send the ram back to Amazon. Mainboard=MSI Z390 ACE.
