Hi guys!

I didn't find a dedicated section for VR, so I think the next best is peripherals.

I bought a Rift S, that is waiting for me in Miami, a friend of mine is bringing it home (I'm from Argentina) and I'm planning where and how to deploy it.

Thing is, I have a dedicated room as a desktop, where my pc and stuff is, but it isn't big enough to play, so I want to send the cables to my livingroom, and put a nice little box with Display Port and USB female, then plug my headset there.

I'm telling you all this because I want your input in this idea, the cable between my pc and the male to female box should be no longer than 6m (Sorry, change to feet if needed, I don't do freedom units), and from there, the default cable lenght of the rift s, which I don't know about, but should be fine anyways.

Do you have any pieces to recomend? Any cable brand? I have nothing but the headset and a hammer drill to drill the wall, I need to buy all the rest.

Thanks in advance!

i used a standard dp and usb 3.0 extension from amazon, both 10ft, worked fine for me. one thing to note is i tried to use a powered hub, and it very much messed with my fps on my rift s, could be just me though.

Wow, ok, so no powered hub was better? I watched some videos where they recomended powered hdmi and usb (They were tips for the original rift).

Thanks for the input!

well, the two that i tried caused an issue, i would assume there are other powered hubs that do work fine. just be aware that some may cause an issue, so i would try to find a hub that someone has used with the rift s without issue.
