Chrome download issue

so chrome told me to update, it gave me an error code, i tried looking up ways to fix it. online told me reinstall it. so i tried. when i try to openup the Chromesetup.exe installation, it opens and closes right away. i can download firefox and other webbrowsers through microsoft edge, just not chrome.

Hmm, did you try restarting lol?

 

Also is chrome necessary or could you use the new Edge which is like Chrome but uses less memory?

ive tried restarting my computer; everything, other methods like deleting past chrome related files etc. im just comfortable with chrome as its connected to my phone etc

Ah ok, hmmm, are you using an administrative account? Could you try running the installer as admin?

Try to download Chrome's offline installer and use that instead.
