GPU Recommendation

Go to solution Solved by RadiatingLight,

Get the best one of these you can fit into your budget:

RTX 3070 > RTX 2080Ti > RTX 2080 Super > RTX 2080 > RTX 2070 Super > Radeon 5700XT > RTX 2070 > Radeon 5700 > GTX 1080 > RTX 2060 Super > RTX 2060 > GTX 1070Ti > GTX 1070 > GTX 1660 Super/Ti > RX 590 > GTX 1660 > GTX 1650 Super > RX 580/480 > GTX 1060 6GB > RX 570/470 > GTX 1060 3GB > GTX 1650

EDIT: Ranking all GPUs like this is controversial to say the least, so I expect disagreement to some extent. -- This is generally correct though, with some gray area regarding where AMD's lineup fits with Nvidia's

New? or is used fine?

You could save up for a 3070.... But, if you want it now, I'd recommend a used (but in good condition) 2080 https://www.ebay.com/itm/MSI-NVIDIA-RTX2080-graphics-card-8GB-Excellent-condition/203098906619?epid=8031751979&hash=item2f49a35ffb:g:j7YAAOSwtsBfE4DR

Yeah, I hear ya. Even focusing on this section of computing almost exclusively you can miss some numbers in there.
