I feel like a right pleb. I spent around about 3 hours trying to install a new cooler 2 and half of which were spent trying to put a fan on the cooler. At first glance of the instructions it said take plastic off of the bottom and I thought to myself I am not an idiot of course I will. Fast forward a bit and I find my CPU running at 80 degrees. Okay I know how to put the cooler and fan back on now I will just re seat it. When I went to re-seat it I had left the plastic on . I could have sworn I took it off! Fast forward a little bit more and back to a steady 22 degrees.

Have you ever thought you had done something and then turns out you didn't ? Obviously tech related
