Question about SD cards

Go to solution Solved by LstpersonalOF,

if u are transfering ur data to the new phone with the correct process it would work fine for my understanding and after that happens you just put your old sd card on your new phone and it should work fine to know exactly what do you have on the sd card apps, games, photos, music, videos

So after long back and forth I ordered an A41 yesterday.

So my question is can I just put my old SD card in and have my apps working and data accessible?

If not (which I suppose is the case) is there a trick or something (maybe even jailbreak) or in other words what's the best way to copy over my apps,  data and possibly even settings?

Well,  and what would be the "correct process"?

Well this actually kinda sorta worked. I used the switch app first , synched my stuff, then inserted my SD card.

It copied most of my apps didn't even need to redownload them, it even installed bilibili which was surprising but it did *not* copy all data of every app only like half of it which is quite disappointing.

Now I have to somehow retrieve my data for bilibili that was partly stored internally (I made backups)

Weird it does read the data on the SD card but not internal, it may be a setting somewhere (I don't speak Chinese however 🤣)

I'd give it a 5/10 at least it worked 50%

(Also probably not keeping the phone because it's much too big and the SAMSUNG apps make it cumbersome and sluggish, they didn't improve at all in the last 10yrs or so, what an embarrassment. But that's for another subject I suppose...)

Thanks for the tip though - I can say it*does* work albeit not perfectly. 👍
