It looks like the ribbon cable between those two parts broke.

looks like it snapped clean off, but we cant tell unless there's more photo from more angles

You're going to have to order a new assembly. You likely won't be able to reuse the current parts if they are broken...

But, how is the world did that happen anyway?

I was trying to replace the back glass and it happened while I was removing the scanner. I swear I didn't pull it or anything tho, I was removing the black thingy around it and I saw that the ribben was disattached. 1599148965128138383048.thumb.jpg.67f2ac31abab39178840d026f1303aeb.jpg

It really got ripped clean tho, I can't even see where the connections on the sensor side.

can I stick it next to the sensor and hope it completes the circuit? pretty hopeless I know :/
