I've been playing on my 2060 super AMP (twin fan) card for a while and finally came in conclusion that my temperatures will always be in the high to mid/high 70s. Today I thought that I would do the driver update to like 452 or something like that. So naturally I went and did the update and launched need for speed heat which I knew stressed my gpu when on ultra. Last time I checked it hit 78 - 83 C when ultra with Vsync but today I launched the game and got 70 - 71C (I normally play on medium with vysnc on). I noticed that my temps were in the 1200Mhz range and that the card with 100% resolution scaling (I usually play on 90%) was hitting 55C as its maximum. Is this just by the driver update or from something else. Also, sometimes when the card would be cooling down one of the 2 fans (randomly) would start to rattle but when I fiddle with the power connectors (8pin + 6pin) the computer freezes and I restart it and everything is fine. Though yesterday I made the power connectors *sit* on the end of the shroud and it seems to have worked. 1) Is everything okay and 2) Is it ok to leave power connectors (the cables) close to the hot shroud and 3) do I need a new power supply cause of the rattling that I mentioned above?

the temps in the 1200mhz range bit is confusing.  Do you mean frequency?

It seems like you are attempting to solve the famed super amp Zotac overheating problem by not inserting your connectors fully?

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

I mean that the card was boosting up to 1965mhz (frequency) and now its up in the 1200mhz and also I checked the connectors and they are fully in. Also when the  card cools down the rattling noise starts

The connectors are fully slotted. I am sure of it because I had a problem earlier today booting up the pc and not giving me signal output so I replugged them and it worked. Also could this be something that the driver update did? (the lowered temps)
