Noctua fans are good but I've been hearing lately that some sort of typhoon brand is much quieter. There are also the be quiet! brand of fans with silent fan wing designs.

Gentle Typhoons.

What are some good fans that aren't too loud for sticking in the front 120mm mounts of the corsair 350d. The fans don't have to be super quiet, the case side panel will be on, I wear headphones, and I am coming from a loud ass computer

Purchase these:

Cougar Vortex PWM 120mm 800-1600rpm

I have 3 of these in my case, they are inaudible.  I don't even hear them until they are at 80%, and even then it is low.  I have my side panel open, so you know they are very quiet.

They are incredibly well built, just looking at them, holding them, and spinning the fan blades with your finger, you feel the quality.

They are usually $16, but they are on sale for $10 ea, the rebate is instantly applied, so no waiting for your money back.

They are rated for 800-1500rpm, but when I run a fan tuning, all of mine are at least 1600rpm, extra 100rpm, sweet.

Comes with the rubber "screws" for even extra silence and added vibration dampening

These might not be the very best case fans, but at the current price of $10ea, you absolutely cannot beat this deal.  If Noctua gets a grade of A+, these are A- for half the cost.

While posting this, I also stumbled upon these: Cooler Master 120mm It is $4 after rebate, but it is a send in rebate, so it will take time to get your money back, and you are only allowed 1 rebate per person, but it seems like a very nice fan, I don't have personal experience like I do with the Cougar Vortex.

I 2nd vote on Cougar Vortex fans. Grabbed like 5 of em when Newegg was having a sale on it (black version).

Currently using NB PK3 on my media device, Noctuas in my little brothers gaming rig, used Gently Typhoons and re-sold it, etc.

The difference is almost non-existent in real world comparison.

Got 4 Vortex in push/pull on my custom 240 Feser rad @ 900 RPM and I can't hear it.

Save your money.

Would give props to Noiseblocker since all 4 of my PK3 has been running flawless for 4 years now.
