I got my hands on an old LGA 775 motherboard (GA-EP41-UD3L) with pentium D 945 and 2 sticks of 2 GB dual rank DDR2 modules and decided to overclock it for fun. The components are pretty old and are not usefull for anything, but doesn't matter.

the motherboard comes with G41 chipset in the north bridge side.

The problem is that after just enabling host clock control without even changing it (200 stock value) system will fail boot 3 times then use default settings after that. Why is that happening? Is it something with mobo or the CPU?
