my old pc is dying except my GTX 1050 2GB. I play at 1080P at 60hz but i'll upgrade to 144hz in the near future. Is 4K even possible for my build?

I don't know a lot of things about pc building and I don't like RGB. Budget > RGB.

can you please recommend a good motherboard and psu? Im having trouble since I dunno a thing about psu.

4k 144 is possible with a 5700xt for some games like league, valorant, cs. I'd recommend 144hz 1440p, it's much easier to run and cheaper for a monitor. Nvidia is announcing their 3000 series cards on Tuesday and AMD is supposedly launching new gpus and cpus before the end of the year. Unless there are big sales I would advise not buying a new gpu until new AMD or Nvidia cards are out. On the cpu side you could wait if you wanted but there probably won't be big leaps like in gpus.

Also I'm not sure what prices are like in the Philippines but I'd get rid of the hdd and go for a 1tb sata ssd. Crucial mx500 and wd blue ssds are a good value.

Checkout this psu tier list, I'd probably get a tier b or tier c psu. 500w would probably be okay but I'd go for a 600 or 650w if you can.

yeah you can run 4k on a 5700xt, wont be super high framerates but maybe 45-80 fps depending on the game and your settings

I can't get rid of the hdd and sdd since i already bought it. i have a lot of files. i think i'll go with Coolermaster MWE Gold. what about the motherboard? which is good without WIFI I already have TP-link T6E AC1300

this mobo is great bang for your buck: https://ph.pcpartpicker.com/product/XJbCmG/msi-b450-a-pro-max-atx-am4-motherboard-b450-a-pro-max

psu prices in your country are wack, if youre thinking about buying this https://ph.pcpartpicker.com/product/VmsmP6/cooler-master-mwe-gold-750-w-80-gold-certified-atx-power-supply-mpy7501acaagus you should get this instead https://ph.pcpartpicker.com/product/gWbwrH/seasonic-focus-gold-750w-80-gold-certified-semi-modular-atx-power-supply-ssr-750fm

but those prices are nuts lol

You mention budget so in the interest of cheapness I must say that I suspect your air cooler is way way overkill.  That’s a 65w chip that doesn’t overclock usefully, not a 165w chip that does. I don’t know how hot the philipenes gets but I understand when it’s hot it’s also wet.  Heat makes cooling more difficult, but wet actually makes it easier if you happen to be a computer cooler. I don’t know if stock would work well enough or not, but that seems unnecessarily  large to me.  A cooler half the price of that one is probably more than fine.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

I think I can go for Seasonic Focus Gold since it's just $10 more however, why though?

Philippines is about 32C. I only wanted Noctua nh-d15 because it was recommended by a friend. but i don't know the temp difference between stock and D15. I don't like my CPU running hot so much since my old R3 2200g w/ stock is 46C-51C in BIOS.

As somebody who does 4k 144hz, I can't recommend it unless you get a 2080 Ti. I've tried on a 2070Super and 2080 Ti, sure you can lower graphical settings to get up to 120 fps, but you'll still experience dips and 1440p Max looks better then 4k low settings. I would just recommend 1440p144hz, as they both look super good.

How much you want to spend on the PSU, and do you need it to be upgrade/future proof?

I don't think i'll upgrade after this build maybe when it dies on me again. I'll play 4K on TV so probably not 144Hz. I think i'll just play 1440p Max instead of 4K.

the seasonic is a much higher quality unit, it carries a very respected 10 year warranty, and its got a fan stop option to aid in longevity. definitely worth 10 bucks extra.

if you already have the d15 its fine, but if youre buying new it aint worth the extra cost for a 3600. a hyper 212/gammaxx 400/arctic freezer 33/34 would be more than enough. i only have a d15s on my 3600 because it was free and the 3600 is a placeholder, i plan on getting a kickass zen 3 cpu when it drops.

AMD stock coolers range from 70w to maybe 120w depending on which one it is.  Dh15 is a $100 300+w cooler.  There are 140w coolers in the $30 range, and 200w coolers in the $40-50 range. 32c vs 23c, so 9c hotter than USA/EU ambient. I can kinda see putting big air on a 65w chip since that would put top torture test temps in the 75c range. There is cheaper big air though. There is a gelid dual stack cooler just as or possibly more powerful and large in the $50 range in the EU, and in the USA you can get a thermal right macho grande for about the same money with about the same power.  These and the d15 are all very large “big air” coolers. Rotisserie  chicken size. Big enough you need to be careful about buying low profile ram because they’re so large they hang over the top of all the ram slots.  The things turn itx boards effectively into cubes. Even at 32c ambient you can probably get away with less. Even a cooler in the 150-200w range will be more than you have real use for.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.
