Possible Damage To System?

Hello, good day to you all. I come baring a really dumb question for something I did which I did not really paid attention to when it happened. So I turned my PC off without unplugging or switching the PSU switch to off. Then I proceeded to unplug the 24 pin connector out of the PSU (modular psu) and the motherboard because I wanted to reroute it through another opening. Although nothing happened, no sparks, and the PC turn on just fine after. I thought about it after its done and realize that there are still power in the motherboard if the psu isn't turned off. Could I have done long term damage to my system? Or perhaps something happened that I don't know? Just want a peace of mind knowing nothing will happen.

Don’t have much experience in this type of thing, but from what I’ve heard if it did damage, you would have noticed by now.

I am far from an expert in this so please correct me if I’m wrong.

Always possible, but extremely unlikely. I've never heard of anything like that ever happening.

No, if it’s working, it’s fine. But yes, always unplug PSU or flip the PSU power switch, then press PC power button a few times to drain the capacitors down before you go unplug and unplug stuff.

I have never heard of it happening. All stories of electrical damage I’ve heard of are instant. You should be fine, no need to worry.
