What cooler should I choose?

techrecorder

Hello! I want to get a cooler for my new i7-10700K.

I don't know if I should go for an AIO, or if I should go for air cooling.

whoosh tends to be safer (less to fail, still does something if fan dies) water may perform marginally better (multiple factors) recommend minimum 240mm aio or get a whoosh king

I don't know if I should go for an AIO, or if I should go for air cooling.

Air cooling is just as affective as most AIO’s, and less failure modes/less spectacular failure if one occurred.

I would suggest the noctua ngc-d15 if you plan to overclock. If you go AIO, 240mm radiator at a minimum.

Hello!

I have an i7-10700K and I found 2 AIO's that would fit nicely with my build.

Corsair H115i RGB Platinum and the NZXT Kraken x63 (both 280mm).

The NZXT one definitely looks better and more minimalistic in my opinion, but I don't know which one is better performance-wise.

Any opinions on this would be appreciated.

Thanks!

GamersNexus reviewed the H115i and in the benchmark it's present the X62, which it's basically the X63 with another maker for the pump
