Weird increase in gpu temperature

Hello, 

 

So my friend has 2 computers, one for gaming and the other one for streaming. 

 

He has 2 1080p 144Hz monitors.. 

 

The connection of the screens and computers go this way:

 

Gaming computer to 1 monitor at 144Hz,

then gaming computer to Elgato HD60PRO at 1080, 60 fps. 

 

And then from the streaming computer to the other 144Hz monitor. 

 

So the problem here is that when you connect the gaming pc to the elgato, the temperature and clock of the gaming gpu goes from 55C to 60 in just a minute, and also you can see a 100% spike in the gpu usage, and then maintains that +5 degrees just doing nothing, we asked help to elgato but its been 2 weeks and no response, doesn't matter what we change, uninstall or change settings, that 5 degrees diference in the gaming pc stays

 

What we can do to fix it?

First port of call in situations like these is to use DDU to completely wipe and reinstall the drivers for the card, set it back up and see if the problem persists.
