Alright, so my rig isn't the most impressive, I had a budget of $550 and that's including the gaming periphs. So in order to save, I bought a Ryzen 5 2400g so I wouldn't have to buy a gpu while still getting great cpu performance. Here's my entire setup:

Ryzen 5 2400g 4c 8t 3.6ghz
a320m pro vh plus (yeah i couldve gotten a b350 or b450 mb but i really dont have a lot of wiggle room so i stuck with the a320 pro vh plus)
2x8gb ddr4 2400mhz
SilverTec Trendy 500w psu (i know this is a really obscure brand but ive had it for a year and honestly ive had no issues with it, not one time did it fail or whatever)
MSI Optix g24 series 75hz 1080p (actually got a really good value on this)

And now, since I wanna start editing and doing other stuff than just gaming, I wanna finally get a graphics card. (Also im just sick of getting only 40fps on most modern games on 1080p lol)

AND I wanna know what gpu would be the best for my current setup. And there's really not much room for upgrading here, maybe the psu I can up to a 550w or 650w.  (Probs CM or DC)

Now, my dad's been planning on buying an rx570 for my pc, BUT, I wanna know what you guys think 'cause im currently doing research and I feel like the LTT peeps are great and competent peeps so might as well ask you guys on what your opinions are on what gpu I should get for my current setup.

THANKS GUYS APPRECIATE IT : )))

so whats your budget for the graphics card , the rx 570 is a bit old nowadays so when buying a gpu , get something with more performance (not saying its a bad card)

an rx570 is a fine card and free is free. if youre intent on buying something then a 1650 super would be the best bang for the buck. someone might say wait for 3000 series but they aint dropping the 3050 in september and the 3090 being on the shelves wont drop the prices of a 1650S. if you ever wanna stream then the 1650S is probably the only way youll be able to with that rig thanks to the turing nvenc encoder

basically everything was bought used off of reddit or here, only new component was the case. absolutely nutty deals for some of these parts, ill have to tally it all up once it's "done" :D

nah it has pcie gen 3, you could stick any card on the board itself and get full performance. whether your cpu can prepare enough frames would matter. the 2400g isnt bad but not spectacular either. tbh you probably should try to swap the cpu/mobo for a 10100, 3100, 1600/2600, etc for longevity of your build. in any case a 1650 super plus 2400g would be a fine combo, anything more doesnt make a lot of sense with your cpu, ram, and screen only going up to 75 hz. a 1660 super is the highest id go without upgrading anything else

op mentions that they wanna do things other than games, which could be video editing, streaming, etc. which would make a newer nvidia card the best choice. otherwise, technically the rx 570 is the best bang for your buck. would definitely go for a 1650 super, 1060, 580, or 5500xt for 60hz+ 1080p at good settings, but if the rx 570 is free ya cant beat that
