Recently my boot drive has been clicking I was going to replace it when it was bootable unfortunately it has now gone into startup repair and is unable to find the problem, going into cmd prompt shows it is online with the correct storage limit but shows no files. I also have an old laptop hard drive with copy of windows installed but I’ve been unable to boot with that. I’m very inexperienced so any insight to getting a bootable windows would be great. I can provide any requested photos as well.image.thumb.jpg.accaf3aed7cde657e3165c89858202d7.jpg

“Click of death”.  Generally don’t want to wait on those.

Someone mentioned here that not infrequently the board on the outside of the drive can be replaced to fix a drive problem.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.
