I googled for a bit and sure enough it is speculated that the 3000 series will be announced on the 1st of September. However, if they do release the new series of GPUs, will the older cards really drop in price? Also, I'm looking for a suitable GPU for my current build. My current build:

New probably not but used markets yes.
I think a 2060s would be a Good upgrade for this system.

I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.

Yeah. The current gen cards are already selling new at a discount off launch prices. Next gen won't put any downward pressure on prices for a while. However, there will inevitably be the crop of enthusiasts that always have to have the latest and greatest that will be dumping their current gen off on the used market.
