Go to solution Solved by Gorou92,

200fps and ryzen 3700x don't go together

for high fps you should either wait for zen 3 probably will release this fall or got with intel 10th gen a i7-10700k for example

for motherboard you can check hardware unboxed reviews for the best 150 to 200$ z490 motherboard ( of course if you go with the intel option) but if you're willing to wait for amd zen3 ask again when that happen but probably a 4700x (or may be called 5700x) and a x570 (or x670) motherboard

for gpu again you can wait just two weeks and get a 3000 ampere gpu which will be better and benefit from pcie4 in ryzen and have better value than current cards (a 3070 is equal or better than 2080 super for less of money )

Budget (including pcurrency): 2,000-2,500 usd

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: r6, cod, overwatch and twitch streaming and so editing

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

This would be my first pc i know I want a amd Ryzen 7 3700x cpu. I already have a monitor and don’t need peripherals I wanna run around 200fps in 1080. I would like a case that’s white with good air flow and full of rgb can you guys help

Howdy and welcome :)

Pcpartpicker.com has a case color filter in its rig builder. Should give you a bunch of choices to find a case you like the look of.  Problem with PC rigs right now is things are very close to a major sea change video wise atm.  If you can hold out to October/November it might be a good idea.  If you can’t a 3700x on a b550 is likely a good start.  GPUs are totally up in the air though.  Might almost want to buy a used POS gpu and just wait.  Storage has the potential to be odd too.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

Might or might not help.  Announcement != available. You make a point about FPS and ryzen, but Even a 10700K will need to be OCed to do that and they’ve got a not so great OC rep. 10600K is actually supposed to frequently clock higher. Apparently it’s about binning oddities.  Chance of getting 5.0 stable out of a 10700k is supposed to be quite low. 4.6 seems like a good bet though. 10900k apparently has a more normal chance to clock well.  I do not have high hopes for the 10850k that way.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Ok can I do 3700 and get 150fps in 1080

There’s a new video that LTT just put out on ryzen auto overclock software.  Seems it’s getting a lot easier.  As for how many fps you get it’s going to get pretty variable. Dependent on binning, memory, which app etc.  an app that gives you 200 on a 5ghz 10xxx intel will probably give you more than 150 on ryzen2
