Google verified vs not

What exactly stops Huawei from releasing honor or make a new company under a new name and let them sell non-Google verified Android devices exactly? (if not mistaken there are plenty of tiny brands all across Asia)

The problem of making a new company and selling phones under that name would be just the same as my previous point only harder for them, because the general public wouldn't know who the they are. Everyone knows Apple, Samsung and Huawei. Fewer people know Honor and even fewer people would know whatever new company Huawei or any other company would suddenly "poop out". Brand loyalty and established position in the market.

So you think making a tiny sub brand that sells devices with Play Store would not work? Worked for Oppo with Realme...

The problem is that Google is banned from providing Huawei with all the necessary infrastructure that it takes to run an OS on Huawei phones. Oppo and Realme don't have such sanctions against them.

Yes but there arev so many tiny brands such as BlackView, Cubot, Doogee and others who MANY of these brands are not certified by Google, not even asking Google for permission before installing GMS or other apps for that matter...

Well if its not part of their 5G networking why would it be targeted? They do not really have a good cause even if the company has 90% former Huawei employees... :I

Really opens your eyes to how much control Google has these days, which isn't particularly a good thing.

That is my point, you can make unverified devices... GMS and all but the issue would be a small popup saying its not verified!

Well they I doubt they'll be able to get them direct from Google, there's the Open GApps project, but they're very clear that they are not licensed for use on devices not verified by Google:

Only if you use unverified devices to many times in a row.
