$1000 14 Inch laptop?

I've been looking for a laptop for a friend for a while. I need it to basically be the laptop for everything, productivity, school, light gaming (think minecraft and sims). I don't know if they really need a dedicated GPU or not. I've been looking at the Lenovo Flex 5 14" for them because it has the things my laptop doesn't: some kind of biometrics (fingerprint), full sized sd card instead of micro, and a backlit keyboard, plus its a 2-in-1 which I don't prefer but I've used them and I think there's some value there. And I know if you adjust TDP the 4700u or 4500u in the flex can probably drive the kinds of games they would be playing.

Any suggestions?
