If I'm capturing from a console and streaming a 720p video, will having the console set to 1080p vs 480p make a difference strictly on the computer's workload, or is it the same because the output is still 720p?  If there is a difference, is it big?

Please no guesses, just tell me if you actually know.  I don't have a proper capture card so this isn't something I can really test myself.

Yes there will be some performance difference. As from 1080p it will do a downsample to 720p and from 480 it will do an upsample to 720p. Doesn't take much horsepower to do and depending on how you do it it could just be the same as any regular old streaming you do of the windows desktop. Using the gpu or cpu for it + encoder also makes a difference.

Thanks, I appreciate it.
