Triggering a Bluetooth key lock app remotely

I’ll try and explain in the shortest way possible. 
Basically I have a front door lock that opens through an app via Bluetooth on iOS and Android. 

Ever since the developers released an update for the app last week, it crashes on launch on my girlfriends phone (iPhone 11 pro max, iOS 13.6.1)

It works fine on my phone however (iPhone XS plus, iOS 14.1 beta)

 

There is a manual key lock but it’s a commercial building and is a special cut that I have to order and will take about a week. 

 

In the meantime I want to figure out a way that I can remotely unlock the door for her when I’m not there. 

 

I can remotely access a windows 10 computer that would be in Bluetooth range, but from my research running an android VM through blue stacks won’t have Bluetooth pass through. 

 

I have an iPad I can leave within Bluetooth range but can’t find anyway to remotely access and control it.

Bringing her iOS version up to the same as yours might fix it but there is no guarantee. Alternatively a lot of door locks that work that way come with a service, you might be able to call them up and help you troubleshoot.

 

If you can remote into an android device you shouldn't need bluetooth pasthrough, just install the app on the device staying by the door and use it on there through the remote session.

 

Remoting into a windows device will only work if there is a windows app for it.

 

I am not sure how you go about remoting into iOS devices. Apple often has there own solutions for that type of thing so you can probably find it on the google fairly easily.

 

Also, you could just give her the key or pin code to open the door manually without the app. Going old school, I know, lol.
