I have an old Optiplex 960, its pretty much stock. I upgraded from a core 2 duo e8400 to a q9650 quad a few years ago, it has 8gb of ram and a GT 710 in it. I use it for retro gaming. That's my passion. Anyways, I moved recently, and in the move something happened and a ram module came loose. I started it up not knowing this, updated a game or 2 when I was met with a black screen and beeping. I used the beeps to determine it was a ram issue and fixed it. However, I can't get my GPU to output anything through HDMI and I don't have an old VGA cable around to try and fix any bios at the moment. What can I do? I've tried manually resetting the bios on the motherboard, but still nothing. The GPU is spinning, and everything seems fine, just no Audio or Video output. Any suggestions?  Please! I need help!

Assuming you haven't actually killed the GPU. You might be able to just use the iGPU and tell it to use the dGPU. Bear in mind, you may need to connect the dGPU to the video connector the farthest away from the motherboard in order for it to be booted in UEFI mode.

welcome to the forums

remember to quote or mention the person you're replying so that they'll get a notification @Moonzy like this

as for your issue, could be a PSU issue too

but before you swap a PSU, make sure it's not using proprietary connectors

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately
