My PC can't detect my peripherals on startup if it's not used for a some hours.

For example:

Come home from work and starting the PC after leaving it be about 10h => Not detected

Restarting PC after using it => Detected

My specs: Windows 7 64 Bit, i5 4670k, Z87 mITX MSI Motherboard (non Gaming edition), ... (see user specs)

My USB-Peripherals: Roccat Kave 5.1(USB 2.0), Roccat Savu Mouse(USB 2.0), MS Sidewinder X4 Keyboard(USB 2.0)

It basically works after plugging in one of them into a unused USB-Port.

What can I do to solve this problem?

I heard about a USB-Bug with Haswell and C1-Motherboards....

Do your power saving settings turn off usb devices after a certain amount of time elapses?

How can I Check this?

P. S: I can't access my PC for the next 8 hours (work etc.). But I will try out&respond to any posts :)

Check this though i doubt thats the case unless you purposefully set it to that. Try going into device manager and post screen shots of what the usb tab looks like with your devices plugged in.

I didn't activate any energy saving settings.

I'll try this as soon as possible.

I looked up my settings and USB-Saving was on! I deactivated it.

Hopefully it works this time... :)

Actually I had this same darn problem. It puzzled me for weeks, turns out the power saving usb thing was turned on from my factory install. I have no idea why and my computer has been set to performance ever since I built it. Super annoying.

It did not help!

I got home today, started my PC and it didn't work!

Could it be caused by shutting off the entire power (from a 230V extender cable) of the PC?

I not only shut down the PC itself, I unplug the 230V plug too.

After replugging the 230V plug (again) it worked fine...

Please help me :(

I highly doubt unplugging the PC from the wall will make any difference try updating your USB drivers and the drivers for your peripherals thats always a good place to start. You may also have to consider faulty products or worse a faulty PC. Also have these devices worked in this PC before just fine and have only started bugging out recently our have you had trouble since day one? Also try your peripherals on another PC to verify that they aren't the problem. (If you have already mentioned any of this sorry for the repetition I'm on a phone and can't see the previous posts.)

I bought this PC about 3 Months ago.

My last one had no problems at all.

All drivers should be up to date (What about the driver-free Roccat Kave 5.1?).

How can I check my USB drivers?

Thanks for the help! :)

IMO, I would first put Linux and make a small partition on the hard drive to install it on( or you could run it via usb ) wait for a while and see if your gear stops working.

If it does not, it probably means that there is a problem with Windows being a d*uche to your system. If it still does not work then it maybe faulty gear or something with your pc.

Firstly I am not an expert, however this is what I would do if I was in your situation.

This is a very good idea run Linux in a virtual box and see if they work if not it's either windows or if they don't work at all then possible faulty hardware.
