Short Bluetooth range

hey i have a tuf z390 plus gaming motherboard i wanted to use bluetooth so i bought a usb bluetooth dongle and i could only move about 2 inches away until the connection cut out.recently i tried upgrading the dongle to a pci tplink bluetooth and wifi card and the problem still remains

i tried formating my pc,connecting the bluetooth device to another device and it worked fine.

i dont know what to do

what dongle is it specifically? did you connect the antenna?

TP-Link AC1200 WiFi Bluetooth 4.2 PCIe Archer T5E

what device are you connecting to it?

if it's the same issue with both USB and PCIe bluetooth solution, might have to look at your device

i'm trying to connect a xbox one controller and the problem isn't related to the conroller because i tried connecting it to my phone and it worked just fine

have another PC to test the bluetooth dongle/pcie card?
