1070 black screen issues

Hello guys,

 

When I open a game on my PC (it happens every time with risk of rain 2) both of the screens plugged into my GPU go black (the one that i have plugged into the motherboard continues to work.)

windows gives an error saying display drivers failed to start and the system needs to be rebooted but the same thing will happen again if I open the game.

 

I have tried re installing drivers, re seating the card and re installing windows and i am still having the issue.

 

I have also contacted Asus support but I'm worried that i wont be able to do anything as i have been told to send it back to the company i bought it from, (it is out of the warranty period) and the card was bought in another country so that is not going to be possible for me to do.

 

I'm not sure how much anyone here can help but anything would be appreciated. I am just disappointed that a nearly £400 GPU can only last 3.5 years and then be out of warranty for repair.
