RIght now I\m currently debating on getting a sub EUR500 TV, should i get a Samsung Smart TV or a Normal TV and a roku?

I'm planning on buying Samsung since my parents know the remote well and they wont get used to a new one anytime soon

I currently have a 6 y/o samsung tv (I peeled the sticker so I dont know the model n/o). I asked because I love my current Samsung TV, but the interface has become slow now. Also I heared a lot of good things about Samsung's TV os (I'm not sure if it's Tizen anymore) and I just wanted to confirm.

Just now, Dean0919 said:

I guess it's Tizen (what my TV has too). I'm having zero problems with that TV. But those small, unknown brand TVs I had experience. It was horrible. Yeah, I think it's better to go with the TV you're familiar with, in your case - Samsung.

Thanks for replying. I asked just to confirm. My parents now have got used to Tizen so even if the other brands would be good, I'd have to teach them it all over again. Once again, thanks for confirming that Samsung still has amazing TVs!
