if you're not confident enough to clear it, then just disable xmp/docp and check.

XMP is already disabled it was the first thing i tried, not sure what docp is and ill clear the cmos

just cleared the cmos my motherboard has pins that can be jumped to clear it, i have not tried 1 stick at a time, i dont know if it was a fresh windows install i downloaded windows 10 and when it asked if i wanted to keep apps and personal files i said yes

ah so it was an old drive and you just downloaded windows. 

i suggest backing up the files and then downloading a fresh install. but before that.

try with one stick at a time and then test with memtest and check if any errors occur.

This sounds like an upgrade from a previous version of Windows. If that's the case it could very well be the problem, and not the RAM at all.

 

Like @TofuHaroto says, you should test your RAM with memtest86, and if it checks out, you should backup your files and do a fresh install of Windows. We can walk you through that process if needed.
