Windows migration question

So i plan on upgrading my PC here when Zen 3 comes out and im looking to move the certificate from my old PC to my new PC. Is it as easy as swapping my boot drive (An Nvme drive) to the new board and just selecting it or is there going to be something that i need to do to untie Windows from my old hardware?

the windows key is tied to the installation, aka the drive, unless its an oem system in which case it's tied to the motherboard in which case you may have to jump through some hoops.

Just install the new windows with the old key.

If you have any problems call MS, they would give you another activation code.

Really depends. You usually can move the drive without any issue, but it may give you an issue due to "new hardware". I ALWAYS sign into my microsoft account and tie the Win 10 key to my account, that way when I get a new mobo and it freaks out, I can easily just hit the "I upgraded hardware" button and it just does its thing. With that said, I have a digital license, so it actually works like that. But I think regardless of your current licence, if you sign into your account and tie them together it turns into a digital license, although I could be wrong.
