Pendrive virus write-protected

My pendrive is infected by a virus, I can see the pendrive but I can't write anything, when I try to write something it says 'Write-Protected' of some kind. and it made a folder iconed icon of every folder in my pendrive. Can anyone help me?? and windows defender says its 'floxif h'

If you dont want to get anything off of it you should just be able to reformat it and use it

I'd honestly just throw it in the trash, and get a new drive for like $5

when in doubt, don't run anything executable, scan it first.

reformat should destroy the files.

is this a sdcard? you can also upload the documents from your phone to google drive, let google scan the virus for you.

it ain't an sd card, and i didn't run any executables. and i can't format it because it says 'write protected'
