Hello there,

I'm trying to find a fix to my micro stuttering issues that started a few months ago. I have looked into almost every fix there is on the internet to no avail which turned my attention towards my monitor itself. When im playing games, I have high and stable FPS, but i have micro freezes at a constant rate like every second or so. I have a 7900x that I bought 2 years with a 2080ti and my monitor is the first version of the Predator X34 (1440p ultrawide 60hz OCed to 100Hz). When I do the vsync test, I can see the stutters every second or so and the monitor doesnt seem to keep up as it says I get about 95-96 FPS. I'm wondering if the monitor is dying or if its not able to keep up with the OC and I should downclock it or if the issue is from elsewhere.

Thanks

Most likely I would try down clocking it if you have it oced 40 hz it could be to high for the monitor to support, also monitors slowly degrade and can't do as high of a refresh rate over time this may also be the case.

Well originally the monitor did the 40Hz OC fine, it was advertised as such back in the day as the 60Hz monitor that could do 100Hz, but yeah I think its getting old and not keeping up. Il downclock it to the first OC bracket below 100 and see what it does. Im building a new PC soon so I might change monitor anyways, just waiting for my 909ek to arrive :).

Sadly reducing the refresh rate of the monitor doesnt fix the issue. If I reduce it to 95Hz, I just get 91-92 fps with the same stutters each second or so. At this point, I don't know if its a windows setting or something.
