Boot problem with new pc

Go to solution Solved by TheBean,

storage is not required to get into the bios so if unplugging it (unplug all storage) will get you into bios and screen does not go black even after 5 minutes, then that would indicate a storage problem or potentially a mobo issue.

also, make sure the hdmi (or displayport) is plugged into the gpu and not the mobo.

Hi, I just build my new pc and I have a question because building my computer I tried Booting by I just got a black screen. I tried again and then managed to get to the BIOS so I thought everything was ok but when I tried again before downloading Windows but I got the black screen again. My Mobo has easy debugging lights and it showed a problem with the GPU so I put my old GPU in my new PC and I managed to get the bios but later I also got the black screen. Finally, I tried putting my old boot drive and it told me that the files were corrupted and refused to boot or go the bios.

So I do not know if anything is broken or if it just is a bug. I would like to nought if you have any ideas or if you know what is wrong.

unplug power cable to gpu (at gpu and psu), remove gpu, reinstall gpu, reattach power cable.
