Beef Boss

Hello all, quick question.

Im trying to install windows on an old desktop I have, it's a Dell optiplex, I've disabled IRST but the drive is not registering in the setup screen.

if anyone knows a driver, I'd appreciate it. If not I'll have to install lubunutu

can't install drivers without an operating system. if you can't install windows with the install tool, something else is amiss.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Did you get into the BIOS as @chen57 asked? In some cases a SATA port can be disabled in BIOS (though I know this only from Desktop).

No, when I boot the system it alerts me that no drive has been found.

would legacy option roms being enabled be an issue? Secure boot is disabled.

this is why I was thinking maybe it needs a driver due to it being a Dell optiplex coming with a hard drive there would normally be no need to install a ssd driver

Hmm, so I just did that, tried some other things in here and nothing seems to work. The computer sees my windows installer but nothing else

Yeah I just did that... Maybe the computer is a dud? It's been sitting around for awhile so maybe there's some electrical issue at work?
