power button not working

today i was messing around in a pool with my phone my phone is waterproof and out of nowhere the power button just stopped working theres nothing else wrong with my phone is there an explanation for this of a way that i can use an other button as a power button

it may be rated that way, but it's still not recommended to be used in a pool

electronics and water dont mix well, and manufacturers wont even accept water damage as a valid reason to claim warranty even though they rated it as waterproof, speaks volumes

u have to enable certain settings in the phone, assuming it's android

some can have the phone wake by lifting it from table, or double tapping the screen

depends on your phone really

 

to get the screen to startup at first without powr button, plugging in a charger cable could work

 

but i recommend u have it fixed anyways

have them have a look at a phone, i dont recommend using it without a functioning power button anyways

 

or a third party repair shop if it's no longer under warranty

if you go on the samsung site and look at the xcover 4 it sais its a rugged phone
