I want to set up my PC to be able to project video and sound into two separate rooms at ultra-low latency - low enough that I could play a competitive shooter in it.

In my office, I have:

* work machine

* personal machine (GTX 1070 and this motherboard for ports: https://www.newegg.com/gigabyte-x570-ud/p/N82E16813145168 )

* 2 monitors (1440p165, 1080p60) that the work and personal machine share.

* USB 3 hub that toggles USB devices between personal and work machine.

I want to be able to:

* send the 1440p165 image to another room to use my TV as a monitor and source for sound

* send another USB 3 hub out to the living room to provide peripherals

With the goal being to play video games and such in the living room and not in the office, when I want to get that separation from my at-work environment.

Ideally, I'll be buying a very-low-latency, probably 4k TV for the living room. That's for later.

When my graphics card has 3 monitors connected to it, it drops the 165hz monitor down to 60hz, so I don't think that will work.

What I'm imagining instead is:

* display port w/sound -> (splitter: cable to 1440p165 gaming monitor / cable to 4k120 tv receiving 1440p165 signal )

* other port -> ( a mess of things, but we'll just say 1080p60 screen )

from the graphics card

USB hub:

* keyboard

* mouse

I'm looking at like 50 feet of separation. I can do cable management across the house, though.

Is this possible? Is it worth it? Should I just use a Steam Link? Is there some sort of hub -> optical setup that could pair usb and display port that I could wire off of the splitter? My Google-fu isn't the greatest here for this.

Thanks a ton!
